Abstract
During the period September 2020–March 2021, the percentage of poor people in Aceh fell from 15.43 percent to 15.33 percent. In rural areas it decreased by 0.18 points (from 17.96 percent to 17.78 percent) while in urban areas the percentage of poor people increased by 0.15 points (from 10.31 percent to 10.46 percent).
In March 2021, the number of poor people in Aceh was 834.24 thousand people (15.33 percent), an increase of 330 people compared to the poor in September 2020 which amounted to 833.91 thousand people (15.43 percent).
Food commodities that have a major influence on the value of the Poverty Line in urban areas are relatively the same as those in rural areas, including rice, cigarettes, and tuna/tuna/ skipjack tuna. Meanwhile, non-food commodities that affect the value of the Poverty Line are the cost of housing, gasoline, and electricity.
