Consumer Price Index / Inflation Aceh Province April 2021

In general, the price developments for various commodities in April 2021 indicated an increase. In April 2021, there was inflation of 0.51 percent, or there was an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 106.29 in March 2021 to 106.83 in April 2021.

Inflation that occurred in Aceh (Combined 3 Cities) occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index for the expenditure group, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.39 percent; the housing, water, electricity, gas and household fuel group of 0.08 percent; equipment, tools and household routine maintenance group by 0.57 percent; the health group by 0.19 percent; the transportation group of 0.06 percent; the information, communication and financial services group of 0.08 percent; the recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.01 percent; and personal care and other services group by 0.34 percent. The expenditure group that experienced deflation, namely: the clothing and footwear group by 0.04 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that did not change were the education group; and food and beverage / restaurant supply groups.

The inflation rate for the calendar year (January - April) in 2021 is 0.27 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (April 2021 against April 2020) is 2.28 percent.
