Area of Rice Harvest and Production in Aceh Province 2020 (Fixed Figures)

The rice harvested area in 2020 is 317.87 thousand hectares, an increase of 7.86 thousand hectares or 2.53 percent compared to 2019 which amounted to 310.01 thousand hectares.

Rice production in 2020 was 1.76 million tons of milled dry unhulled rice (GKG), an increase of 42.88 thousand tons or 2.50 percent compared to 2019 which amounted to 1.71 million tons of GKG.

When viewed from the subround, there was an increase in rice production in the January-April and September-December 2020 subrounds, namely 1.44 thousand tons of GKG (0.18 percent) and 91.71 thousand tons of GKG (18.17 percent), respectively. compared to 2019. The decline only occurred in the May-August subround, namely 50.28 thousand tons of GKG (12.24 percent).

If converted into rice for the population's food consumption, rice production in 2020 will amount to 1.01 million tons, an increase of 24.58 thousand tons or 2.50 percent compared to 2019 which amounted to 982.57 thousand tons.

The potential for rice production in the January-April 2021 subround is estimated at 790.43 thousand tons of GKG, a decrease of 9.72 thousand tons or 1.21 percent compared to the same subround in 2020 which amounted to 800.15 thousand tons of GKG.
